My Gambit Costume

I prepared and wore a Gambit costume for Baltimore Comic Con 2010. Lots of awesome people took my picture but I never managed to get a picture of myself while I was there. My friend Don took this video of my costume in my apartment after the con was over. The hair was a cheap costume wig that I tried to cut to the right length. It was probably the worst part of the costume. The black material around my head was a scuba hood that I cut ear holes in. The neck piece was made of aluminum ducting. The black lines are electrical tape since marker did not stay on the metal and it was not dark enough. I wore a white t-shirt painted fuchsia under a foam muscle chest that I also painted fuchsia. The muscle chest was velcroed to the white t-shirt. My pants were some really tight fitting black women's jogging pants that I found at Goodwill. I made the metal leg pieces out of aluminum ducting that I cut to fit my legs. I glued velcro to the vertical length of the pieces so they closed around my leg. I wore a big trench coat and I carried a staff that were both provided by Chris Bellerdine. The playing cards are special clear plastic Bicycle playing cards with pink designs on them.
